Václav Žůrek is a researcher at the Centre for Medieval Studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague, where he also holds the position of secretary and editor of the journal Studia Mediaevalia Bohemica. He collaborated with Czech Television on the preparation of the documentary Seven Seals of Charles IV. Václav specializes in the cultural history of medieval Europe, royal rituals, Bohemia and France in the 14th century, and early medieval tradition in the late Middle Ages.
